Blog in Haste, Repent in Leisure
Tuesday, July 17, 2012
It has become easy to say with the strokes of keyboard what is not possible in face to face conversation and so many are seen airing their grievances to a potential audience of millions. Although some people are posting innocuous information about everything from politics to poetry, but many bloggers have axes to grind online. The full legal, ethical and interpersonal implications of these virtual vendettas are just beginning to be explored.
Walk a few blogs and you will find that every dimension of life being blogged now — relationship, dreams, pets, triumphs and even nothingness. What is not blogged can be found at Twitter and or Facebook. The rules of the road, are being challenged by the ease with which people can do things that used to be appropriate only for whispers between two people. Now those whispers can be spread around the world. And later these whispers may haunt some of them. They haunt me. My recommendation is be careful and responsible. Don't blog in haste. You may have to repent in leisure.
