On the sidelines at Lahore School Conference on Management of Pakistan Economy

While Pakistan Economy was discussed at the Lahore School of Economics Seventh Annual Conference on the Management of the Pakistan Economy for three days (May 4-6, 2011), a lot more happened on the side line. Young scholars from Lahore School of Economics interacted with the distinguished researchers and policy makers from PIDE, Quaid-e-Azam University, NUST, IBA Karachi, IBM Karachi, LUMS and from some universities abroad and discussed everything relating economy of Pakistan and its impact. Economists also exchanged views on relevant subjects informally among themselves. Media people from different newspapers and TV channels took the chance to ask questions to the experts. Here are some images from the sideline.

Great photos! Looks like a great event and an excellent opportunity to highlight the good work that LSE is doing. LSE alumni, especially EMBA students should also be invited to such occasions as they can add a lot of value by expressing their views on macro issues and and will also learn from the immense wealth of knowledge around them, present at the occasion. It will also provide them with a great opportunity to network with high calibre professionals from various professions.

Thanks Raza Khan for stopping by. And more thanks for the suggestion. As a matter of fact, the conference is open to all LSE students and as you can see from the images above a large number attended and participated in discussions formally as well as informally.
